Transmission XIII: It should be clear by now that i really enjoy sampling and manipulating the human voice. What i like most is using fragments of acquaintances and loved ones, whenever i find footage of them saying something really good -- something that really sums up their personality or some beautiful spark. i found a short, mutilated file from several years ago with the file name "convolved pledge," but cannot remember the source material. I jammed around with it more last week, and present a file in three parts: the first two being recent reworkings, and the final is the "pure" original file. Whatever its initial inherent beauty may be, i like to think it is living on by that little bit more.

Transmission VIII: Another working of the previous wave.

Transmission VII: I may not have your toenail clippings or used Kleenex, but your audio files are even better, because those samples will last forever. The first take on a series of samples and their mutations that I've been working with in recent weeks.

Transmission V: Led to the source by an arbitrary decision, new words and worlds rise from the broken stone. And the words are Minor League Hockey. Lusting after results, even if it appears as news from the past.

this work was done two days ago and would have been posted then had the Comcast not gone out. took me several minutes of trying to open the link to ping Apple regarding the update before i read that this service has been discontinued, and may not be available on iTunes for up to two more days. Lovely.  I take the slightly symbolic decisions of posting- and release-dates pretty seriously.
